I would like to post a recommendation for the Ken O'Malley concert on May 30 at Mission City. I have been a fan since I first heard him at a Celtic festival in LA in 1994 with his band The Twilight Lords. Ken has an AMAZING voice, and he delivers those songs from the heart, at each concert, whether at a festival in front of hundreds of fans or at a coffee house performance such as Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena, CA, where he performs regularly. He has a rapport with the audience which is unique, in that he has a way of making every person in the audience feel like he is singing directly to them. His original songs are brilliant and catchy, and he is a master musician on mandolin and guitar. I fly down to LA to hear Ken sing several times a year. May 30 is a rare opportunity for San Jose audiences to experience Ken's solo performance, as he keeps quite busy most of the year with gigs in LA and S. Cal with his band The Twilight Lords.
